Benchmark Senior Living has unveiled plans to build a 34,683-square-foot memory care community on the former campus of Andover Newton Theological Seminary in Newton Centre.
Erland Construction will oversee construction of Benchmark’s new community as well as major renovation work to an existing 19,914-square-foot, five-story building. The project, specifically designed for individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia-related memory loss, totals 54,597 square feet.
Designed by Bechtel Frank Erickson, the building will offer 50 apartments with a capacity to serve 61 residents and is expected to be completed in early 2019.
