Baylor Adds Senior Care Unit in Texas

<p><a href="http://www.baylorhealth.com/Pages/Default.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Baylor Medical Center</a> at Irving, Texas, has expanded its services to include the new Baylor Behavioral Health Senior Care, which is managed by <a href="http://www.healthcaredesignmagazine.com/www.telecarecorp.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Telecare Corporation</a> (Alameda, Calif.).</p>

Baylor Medical Center at Irving, Texas, has expanded its services to include the new Baylor Behavioral Health Senior Care, which is managed by Telecare Corporation (Alameda, Calif.).

The new 11-bed unit provides short-term inpatient services in tandem with Baylor Irving hospital for adults age 65 and older who are experiencing a mental health crisis. The unit’s services include medication management, rehabilitation support, diagnosis and assessment, individual and family therapy, occupational therapy, and discharge planning.

Baylor Medical Center at Irving is a not-for-profit, full-service, fully-accredited hospital offering health care services in cardiovascular care, diagnostic imaging, digestive disorders, physical medicine and rehabilitation, oncology treatment, orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, and emergency medicine. The 296-bed hospital is located in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex.
