Barclay Friends (West Chester, Pa.), a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community (CCRC), held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of Preston at Barclay Friends, according to an article in the Daily Times.
The 61,000-square-foot project features 60 independent living and assisted living units and 20 memory care units. Amenity spaces include an art room, library, fitness room, and salon. Outdoor amenities include two gardens and walking paths.
The Preston building replaces the Woolman building, which was destroyed in a five-alarm fire in November 2017. Preston is constructed with steel and concrete, and the exterior features brick, stone, and siding materials.
