55+ Independent Living Community Included In Georgia Affordable Housing Development

Affordable housing builder Zimmerman Properties (Atlanta) and investment firm TriStar (Atlanta) are planning an affordable housing development for seniors, in Stockbridge, Ga.

The Villas at Mt. Zion, a 55+ independent living community, will be part of a larger affordable housing development, which will also include a 210-unit multifamily community.

The senior living development will include 48 one-bedroom/one-bathroom units, 32 two-bedroom/one-bathroom units, and 16 two-bedroom/two-bathroom units.

The overall development will include a swimming pool, exercise facility, computer library, playgrounds, outdoor garden, wellness center and an early learning center.

Buxton Kubik Dodd Design Collective (Springfield, Mo.) is the architect on the project.
