What began as a project to build an active adult community in Miami was eventually transformed into an independent living community toward the end of construction at the request of area seniors. Allegro Dadeland opened in June and is a 23-story high-rise senior living community with three floors of amenities and a modern coastal design.
The goal was to tailor the community to the Miami lifestyle while still maintaining Allegro Senior Living brand of luxury retirement communities. StudioSix5, an Austin, Texas-based interior design firm, sought to create a chic ambiance featuring a striking combination of traditional and contemporary designs.
For example, dark eggplant and aqua are punched up with white for a colorful Miami twist. Ornate fixtures, statement pieces, beamed trellises, and a curated art collection bring playful and aquatic aesthetics into the space. A luxurious hospitality vibe drove the design of the exterior design, including the entrance and two terraces.
