Silverado (Irvine, Calif.) is preparing to break ground on a new memory care community on a four-acre site in Bellingham, Wash., this summer.

The Cordata Design Review Board approved design and landscape plans for the multi-million dollar project, with the support of city officials and other members of the local community.

The 41,000 square-foot community will be designed to care for up to 80 people with memory-impairing conditions. The property will also feature outdoor space for the residents and office space for the Alzheimer’s Society of Washington.
