MorningStar Senior Living (Englewood, Colo.) and Confluent Development (Denver) have started construction on MorningStar Senior Living at Leawood in Leawood, Kan., according to a news release.
The 104,857-square-foot project is being developed on a 4-acre site and comprises 103 units, including 73 assisted living apartments and a 30-unit memory care neighborhood.
Planned amenities include indoor and outdoor dining venues, a salon, fitness center with therapy gym, theater, chapel, library, and art studio. Additionally, outdoor spaces are designed to accommodate a 5,000-square-foot butterfly garden, putting green, and grilling area.
Rosemann & Associates (Kansas City, Mo.) is the architect on the project, with Aneka Interiors (Denver) serving as interior designer and Russell (Leawood) as general contractor.
The community is expected to open in 2028.
