Environment for Aging magazine is launching the Next Wave Awards to celebrate the rising stars in senior living design—professionals who have fewer than 10 years of experience in the field and are already driving meaningful change.
This program is open to emerging industry professionals, including architects, interior designers, engineers, construction professionals, researchers, academics, and other professionals directly involved in the design of a senior living environment.
Next Wave Awards celebrates their accomplishments across a variety of senior living settings, including skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care, independent living, short-term rehabilitation, hospice, and 55+ housing, with considerations made for senior-specific solutions created in acute and post-acute care facilities.
Nominations will open in June here. Winners will be featured in EFA’s Fall issue and receive a complimentary full-conference pass to the 2026 Environments for Aging Conference + Expo, where they’ll be recognized at a special Awards Luncheon.
