As part of the 2025 EFA Conference, the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Design for Aging (DFA) Knowledge Community will host a breakfast and program on Monday, April 28, from 8-8:50 a.m. During the event, speakers will share their insights on advancing intergenerational living in aging-supportive settings and discuss how attendees can create inclusive, multigenerational spaces that enhance quality of life for seniors.
The panelists include: Jeff Beegle, senior director of projects, Three Pillars Senior Living Communities (Dousman, Wis.); Vassar Byrd, CEO, Kendal Corporation (Newark, Del.); and Andrew Carle, adjunct faculty, Georgetown University Aging & Health Program (Washington, D.C.).
The conversation will set the stage for the deep-dive educational session “AIA DFA: Embracing Intergenerational Excellence: Innovations and Insights in Senior Living Design,” which will be held from 9-11:15 a.m.
