Affordable Senior Living Community 300 Alamitos Breaks Ground In Long Beach, California

The 5-story, 55+ community will house 82 units for low-income seniors and formerly homeless seniors.

Developer Mercy Housing California (San Francisco) started construction on 300 Alamitos, an affordable senior living community in Long Beach, Calif., according to a news release from the City of Long Beach.

The 5-story, 55+ community will house 82 one-bedroom units for low-income seniors and formerly homeless seniors.

Residents will have access to an open space courtyard and recreation area, indoor lounge, and community space.

The project team includes co-developer CTY Housing (Venice, Calif.), which provides development and financial services for affordable housing developers.

Construction is expected to be completed in late summer 2026.
