2022 Design Champions Aim High To Evolve Senior Living

Environments for Aging’s 2022 Design Champions are going above and beyond to design senior living environments that answer the complex needs of both residents and staff.
Published: January 19, 2023

Each year, Environments for Aging sets out to find individuals who are working hard to influence the evolution of senior living design and celebrate them in our Design Champions program.

The goal is to recognize efforts that make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents and staff as well as the greater community environment. Frequently, those efforts might take place in the background—a research project or push for regulatory change—but can send ripples through projects and the sector as a whole.

In 2022 Design Champions awards, we celebrate three individual efforts and—for the first time—a group award goes to a team of four.

We’re certain you’ll find them as inspiring as we did.

In the links below,  you’ll find profiles of our winners as well as interviews with them that highlight their recent work as well as their goals going forward. We’ll also celebrate them during EFA’s annual awards luncheon taking place at the 2023 Environments for Aging Conference + Expo in Charlotte, N.C.

Join us in congratulating our 2022 winners!
