The Hacienda at Georgetown, a new independent living, assisted living, and memory care community in Georgetown, Texas, will open in late 2022 as part of Watermark Retirement Communities’ luxury Élan Collection. With roots in the hospitality industry, the community will bring together the best in revolutionary design and innovative programming.
Situated on 13 acres, the 287,000-square-foot community will offer integrated indoor-outdoor spaces and chef-created culinary experiences across the community’s four dining venues, including a public-facing restaurant and bar with celebrity chef Stephan Pyles, a James Beard Award winning chef. To answer its mission of delivering vibrancy and longevity for residents, its suite of programming and amenities also include an outdoor amphitheater and a fully equipped wellness center with a salon, spa, club rooms, fitness center, theater, meditation garden, and resort-like pool with cabanas.
Architecture and planning firm REES Associates (Dallas) and interior design studio StudioSix5 (Austin, Texas) led the design incorporating regional influences with plentiful use of local stone and wood, ample windows (many of which are floor to ceiling) and open, flexible floor plans for a comfortable indoor/outdoor lifestyle that takes advantage of Georgetown’s ideal shoulder season weather.
Phase 1 of the project will deliver 230 independent living, assisted living, and memory care units, with studio, one-, and two-bedroom options. A second phase will add 90 independent living units.
