In November, Cardinal Ventures (Jackson, Miss.), completed The Blake at Hollingsworth Park, an independent living, assisted living, and memory care community located in the Verdae neighborhood, a master-planned community in Greenville, S.C. Cardinal wanted to deliver a luxury, high-end resort feel  with very open and bright areas with an abundance of natural light and flexible spaces for the residents to meet over coffee and play board games.

Young, Wier + Boerner Architecture PLLC (Jackson) created an open and flexible design that integrates generous natural daylight with large floor-to-ceiling windows and minimal furnishings. Additionally, a neutral color palette and clean lines contribute to a soothing and calm environment.

The memory care and assisted living neighborhoods, specifically, are designed around two landscaped courtyards with a covered patio, outdoor fountain, walking area, and sitting area.

The 85,000-square-foot community’s amenities include a movie theater, salon and spa, full-service restaurant, concierge service, fitness center, and landscaped outdoor areas.
