Santianna is Oakmont Senior Living’s answer to the need for an enhanced luxury senior living community in the Northern San Diego County region.
The 257,454-square-foot community is in the hidden hills of Carlsbad, home to surrounding views, and includes independent living, assisted living, and memory care. It houses 166 well-appointed studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartment homes and casitas.
Santianna’s California Craftsman exterior and luxury interiors blend natural wood and stone elements with a relaxed color palette and comfortable furniture with clean lines and modern shapes. The design was inspired by the beaches and mountains of Carlsbad mixing warm earth tones and natural textures. The colors of the furniture, carpet, and artwork bring forth the blues and earth tones inspired by the relaxing ocean views and neutral pallet of the mountains.
The community’s outdoor spaces include a firepit with surrounded lounge seating, bocce courts, fountains, several seating areas, and an Olympic-size pool overseeing the local mountains and terrain. Walking paths surround the community.
Villena, Santianna’s memory care neighborhood, covers two stories and includes 67 memory care units plus a movie theater, dining rooms, activity rooms, and outdoor courtyards. Programming specifically designed for those living with memory loss or cognitive impairment include activities such as chair yoga, pet and music therapy, as well as practicing life skills.
Built on a nature preserve with sweeping vineyard views, the project comprises a luxury movie theater, fitness center, art studio, beauty salon, spa and massage studio, resident garden beds, pet park, wine cellar, and pickleball courts.
