According to The Sherwood Gazette, The Springs at Sherwood, McMinnville, Ore., recently opened 20 new assisted living units at its Sherwood location. The two-floor apartments will be in addition to the 36 already in place at The Springs at Sherwood.
Reporter Ray Pitz writes: The new units will complement the 67 current assisted living and memory care units already on-site. The major expansion is the first at the Springs at Sherwood since The Springs Living, LLC, took over the former Cedar Creek Assisted Living facility in 2012…Also in the midst of completion are 73 adjacent independent living units, which will open in the spring.”
Pitz confirms that the new independent living space includes, “the Three Sisters Room, a large community room that will be used for hosting a variety of activities including cooking demonstrations by the senior living community’s chef.”
