Owner and operator Presbyterian Homes (Skokie, Ill.) is planning an independent living expansion at The Moorings of Arlington Heights, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Arlington Heights, Ill., according to the company’s website.
The project will add 70 independent living units in a new 5-story building, new dining venues, and underground resident parking. An updated entry will connect the new building to the existing independent living building. Common spaces and activity spaces will also be renovated as part of the project.
The project team includes Perkins Eastman (architect; New York) and Skender (contractor; Chicago).
Construction is expected to begin in 2026 and be completed in 2027.
