The Longfellow, a 62+ affordable senior living community, has opened in the former Henry W. Longfellow Elementary School building in Cleveland, according to the website clevelandmagazine.com.
The $23.7 million project involved renovating the existing 50,000-square-foot school and constructing a 60,000-square-foot addition.
The new senior living community houses 80 residential units.
Additionally, residents have access to dedicated common areas, a wellness room, fitness center, a 5-acre park-like setting, walking trail, and sitting area with a gazebo and benches.
The project team includes Marous Brothers Construction (construction; Willoughby, Ohio) and Vesta Corporation (developer; Simsbury, Conn.).
