Operator Watermark Retirement Communities (Tucson, Ariz.), national property development firm Oppidan (Minneapolis), and investment management firm Harrison Street (Chicago) are partnering on a new luxury senior living community in Oceanside, Calif.
The 256,000-square-foot Hacienda Mission San Luis Rey will include 213 units for independent living, assisted living, and memory care.
Amenities will include arts and cultural spaces, outdoor fitness stations, a salon and spa, outdoor pool, pickleball court, garden, dog park, library and card room, virtual reality lounge, and chapel.
The project team includes Douglas Pancake Architects (architect; Irvine, Calif.) and W.E. O’Neil (general contractor; Chicago).
Completion is slated for 2023.
