Watermark Retirement Communities (Tucson, Ariz.), MedCore Partners (Dallas), and TNRG (Houston) are planning to open The Hacienda at Georgetown, a new independent living, assisted living, and memory care community in Georgetown, Texas.
Situated on more than 13 acres, Phase 1 of the 270,000-square-foot project will offer 125 independent living units, 80 assisted living units, and 20 memory care units, with studio, one-, and two-bedroom options offered. A second phase will add 90 independent living units.
The design will incorporate locally sourced stone and wood, ample windows, and open, flexible floor plans. Amenities will include a fine dining venue, café, open-air courtyard, bar, and a full-service restaurant open to the public. An outdoor amphitheater and wellness center featuring a salon and spa, multiple activity venues, fitness center, club rooms, theater, meditation garden, and pool are also planned.
The project team includes REES Architects (designer; Dallas), Studio Six5 (interior designer; Austin, Texas), and Pacheco Koch (landscape architect; Austin). Construction is expected to begin in summer 2020 and the community is anticipated to open in late 2022.
