The Commons in Lincoln, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), is planning an expansion project in Lincoln, Mass., according to the website bostonrealestatetimes.com.

The project will add 28 independent living homes and cottages, three of which will be designated as affordable.

Plans also call for renovating and expanding the dining area and other amenities as well as adding 52 parking spaces.

The project will use sustainable design strategies, including the installation of solar panels and electric car chargers.

Construction on the addition is scheduled to break ground in fall 2024 and be completed in 2026.
