San Diego State University (SDSU; San Diego) plans to develop a senior living community as part of its Mission Valley development in San Diego, according to nbcsandiego.com.
The project comprises a 7-story, 295,000-square-foot community with 224 independent living and assisted living units and a 26-unit memory care neighborhood. Planned amenities include a restaurant, bistro, community room, fitness center, rooftop deck, pool, and outdoor courtyard.
Urbal Architecture (Seattle) is the architect on the project, and PMB (Solana Beach, Calif.) and Pillar Properties (Seattle) are serving as co-developers. Merrill Gardens (Seattle) is the management company for the community.
Construction is expected to begin in late 2027 and be completed in 2030.
