SAGE, AIA Design For Aging Launch New Survey Focused On Intergenerational Living

The survey aims to shed more light on the opportunities, benefits, and challenges of incorporating intergenerational considerations into senior living settings.

Society for the Advancement of Gerontological Communities (SAGE) and American Institute of Architects (AIA) Design for Aging have launched a new survey as part of their Intergenerational Task Force collaboration.

Following up on an initial survey in 2023, the task force aims to shed more light on the opportunities, benefits, and challenges of incorporating intergenerational considerations into senior living settings.

Led by senior living developer Craig Witz, principal at Witz Company (Madison, Wis.), the five-member task force includes Abushousheh, organizational and environmental gerontologist and research associate for The Center for Health Design (Murrieta, Calif.); Greg Hunteman, principal at Pi Architects (Austin, Texas); JinHwa (Gina) Paradowicz, associate principal at Perkins Eastman (Chicago); and Lisa Warnock, principal at Glow Interior Designs LLC (Portland, Ore.).
