Vassar Byrd, CEO of Rose Villa Senior Living (Portland, Ore.) for the past 17 years, is leaving to become CEO at The Kendal Corporation (Newark, Del.), a nonprofit organization of living communities, programs, and services for seniors.
Byrd will assume her new post on Jan. 9, 2024. She joined Rose Villa in 2006. During her tenure, she spearheaded Rose Villa’s comprehensive campus redevelopment, which included environmentally conscious construction and innovative sustainable design approaches for senior living. Amy Harrison, interim CEO at Kendal, will resume her role as chief financial officer upon Byrd’s start.
At press time, a search for a new Rose Villa CEO is under way.
