An 80-unit assisted living and memory community is under construction in Thomasville, Ga. As reported in the Thomasville Times-Enterprise, the Residence at Oak Grove is being built by South Carolina-based WV Development and scheduled to open in 2020.
The 48,000-square-foot, two-story structure will have 50 assisted living units, 30 memory care units, and two open-air porches on each floor, reports writer Patti Dozier. Amenities include a gym, physical therapy room, and a lounge/library area. The private pay middle-market housing facility will offer private and semi-private rooms and a few one-bedroom, studio-style apartments of various sizes.
Decades-old oak and palm trees on the 3.1-acre tract will be incorporated into landscaping around a courtyard, according to the article.
