Faith-based senior living nonprofits Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries (Elim, Pa.), Liberty Lutheran Services (Ambler, Pa.), and Garden Spot Communities (New Holland, Pa.) have formed a new parent company called “Ilumin.”
Guided by a shared executive leadership team, the new organization says that it hopes to have a stronger voice in negotiating contracts with healthcare providers, according to an article in lancasteronline.com.
Garden Spot CEO Steve Lindsey will serve as CEO of the combined organization, Liberty Lutheran COO Joan Myers will lead operations as COO, and Liberty Lutheran CFO John Barnum will serve as CFO of Ilumin.
The company name was chosen in recognition of the Lutheran and Mennonite heritages of the three organizations and to evoke the word “light.”
