Patsy Surh Place Brings Affordable Senior Living Community To Tacoma, Washington

The 55+ community houses 77 units and is a collaboration between Asia Pacific Cultural Center and Low Income Housing Institute.

Nonprofit Asia Pacific Cultural Center (Tacoma, Wash.) and nonprofit housing provider Low Income Housing Institute (Seattle) opened Patsy Surh Place, a 55+ affordable housing community in Tacoma, according to the website asiapacificculturalcenter.org.

The 6-story project features 47 studio apartments and 30 one-bedroom units.

Residents have access to a community lounge, multipurpose room, gallery space, outdoor courtyard, and laundry facilities.

The project team includes Weber Thompson (architect; Seattle) and Walsh Construction Co. (contractor; Seattle).
