Health officials in Worcester, Mass., are turning to senior living communities to treat coronavirus patients, according to an article in WGBH News.

Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Worcester is relocating 147 residents to sister facilities to make room for a treatment and recovery center for patients with the virus, the article reports.

The community is the first of other senior living communities expected to follow suit, as part of an effort by the Massachusetts Department of Health to respond to the rise in COVID-19 cases.
