Lutheran Towers, a faith-based independent living community in Atlanta, has submitted a proposal to the Midtown Development Review Committee (Atlanta) for an expansion project, according to roughdraftatlanta.com.

The proposed plan would add two offset wings to house 172 independent living units on the east side of the 15-story Lutheran Towers building. The additions would frame a raised central amenity terrace.

The approximately 92,900-square-foot expansion would step down in height from eight stories to five stories as it approaches an existing residence.

Plans also include expanding the community’s existing 2-story parking deck from 66 spaces to 102 spaces and upgrading back-of-house spaces.
