Real estate developers Gilbane Development (Providence, R.I.) and Blue Sea Development Company (Huntington, N.Y.) held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of Linden Grove, a new affordable senior living community in Bushwick, N.Y., according to a news release.
The 13-story, 100,000-square-foot community comprises 153 units including studio, one-, and two-bedroom units; 46 units are reserved for formerly homeless seniors.
Amenity spaces feature a rooftop fitness room, arts and crafts space, and community lounge with computer stations.
Outdoor spaces include a landscaped recreation area, rooftop terrace, and community gardens. In addition, a 2,000-square-foot community space is available to local nonprofit organizations and community groups.
Jewish Association Serving the Aging (New York) will manage the community and provide on-site social services and wellness programming.
