The Louisville Metro Housing Authority (LHMA; Louisville, Ky.) held a groundbreaking ceremony for Iroquois Senior Living Community in Louisville, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal.
The affordable independent living senior community will consist of 60 units in a three-story building.
The senior living project is part of a larger intergenerational housing development, Iroquois Homes, that comprises 456 housing units on 46 acres, including single-family homes, multifamily duplexes, row houses, and walk-up units.
The project team includes design firm Sherman Carter Barnhart Architects (Louisville).
