The International Interior Design Association (IIDA; Chicago) has announced the winners of its 2025 Healthcare Design Awards.
The awards recognize design firms for creativity in the design of healthcare facilities across 15 categories including assisted living, extended care, skilled nursing, ambulatory surgery center, cancer center, pediatric, and specialty clinic.
Winning projects in the senior living design categories include:
Extended Care & Assisted Living Facilities – Independent
- The Variel (Woodland Hills, Calif.), submitted by Rodrigo Vargas Design (Los Angeles)
Extended Care & Assisted Living Facilities – Long-term Care
- North East Medical Services – PACE San Jose Center (San Jose, Calif.), submitted by IA Interior Architects (San Francisco)
Extended Care & Assisted Living Facilities – Skilled Nursing Facility
- RoseVilla / Madrona Grove (Portland, Ore.), submitted by Gawron Turgeon Dillon Architects, P.C. (Scarborough, Maine)
All of the winners will be honored, and Best of Competition and Transformation Award and Innovation Award winners will be announced, on Nov. 13 during a celebration at the IIDA headquarters in Chicago.
