Greenwood Village South Begins Construction On The Village Flats Expansion In Indiana

The project will add 42 independent living units and more than 27,000 square feet of common and amenity spaces to the CCRC.

Continuing care retirement community (CCRC) Greenwood Village South (Greenwood, Ind.) has started construction on The Village Flats, a major expansion that includes residential units and amenities space, according to a news release.

The expansion will comprise 42 new independent living units, as well as more than 27,000 square feet of common and amenity spaces.

Amenities will include a natatorium, bistro and coffee shop, library, fitness center, 275-seat auditorium, classroom, and gathering areas. Plans also call for a new front entrance and administrative suites.

The project team will comprise RDG Planning & Design (interior designer; Des Moines, Iowa) and LCS Development (developer; Des Moines, Iowa).

Construction is expected to be completed by summer 2027.
