GreatLife Communities (Greenfield, Wis.) broke ground on The Woods, a new senior living community in Greenfield, according to an article in Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Situated on 11.57 acres, the development will feature 120 connected ranch-style homes with a private front door entry and patio. The residences will be arranged into two neighborhoods in two distinct buildings.
The south neighborhood will comprise 58 one-bedroom units and 14 two-bedroom units, with laundry, full kitchens, and underground parking. Residents will have access to a community room, exercise gym, lounge, general store, beauty shop, and food service area.
The north neighborhood will include 48 studio units, each with a small kitchenette and full bathroom. The studios will have a private front entry and patio and a back door for interior access to community amenities, which will include a dining room, food service area, telehealth room, activity area, and beauty shop.
The community, scheduled to open in spring 2023, will also feature walking trails and a dog wash.
