Developer Foxy Management (Bronx, N.Y.) announced the completion of Garden Towers, a 62+ affordable senior housing community in the Bronx, according to the website lendlease.com.
The 149-unit community comprises two mid-rise residential buildings that are connected by a glass greenhouse that serves as a walkway between the structures.
Thirty percent of the units are designated for homeless seniors.
Amenities include several multipurpose rooms, a social services suite, computer room, on-site laundry, and resident parking lot.
Garden Towers is designed to meet Enterprise Green Communities criteria for sustainability and Passive House standards, which includes upgraded insulation, electric MEP systems, and a rooftop solar array.
The project team includes architect Newman Design (New York ) and general contractor Lendlease (New York).
