Fairview, an independent living and skilled nursing community in Groton, Conn., is planning an expansion that will add 265 units across two new buildings, according to a news release.

The community has secured $304 million in financing for the development of the buildings, named Vista Point and Horizon.

Vista Point will house 175 independent living units, and Horizon will house 18 independent living apartments, 44 assisted living units, and a 28-unit memory care neighborhood.

The new buildings will also include multiple dining venues, a saltwater pool, performing arts space, salon, golf simulator, and other amenities.

Upon completion of the 568,000-square-foot project, Fairview will become a continuing care retirement community (CCRC). The community currently offers 40 independent living cottages, 20 apartments, and 100 skilled nursing beds.

Senior living firm Greystone Communities (New York) is serving as development consultant on the project.

The new independent living units are expected to be ready for occupancy in spring 2028.
