A new affordable senior living community for seniors ages 55 years and older is being planned in Johns Island, S.C.
The three-story, 94,965-square-foot community, Esau Jenkins Senior Center, is named after Esau Jenkins, a Johns Island native who dedicated his life to improving the lives of the sea island residents during the time of segregation.
The community will be situated on 9 1/2 acres and offer 72 units.
The project architect is Studio Fusion (Charlotte, N.C.) and the civil engineer is Forsberg Engineering (Charleston, S.C.).
