Environments For Aging Celebrates Women In Design

The 2019 Women in Design luncheon was held in October, celebrating the accomplishments of 10 female designers across commercial design sectors including healthcare and senior living.

Environments for Aging, Healthcare DesignContract, design:retail, and Hospitality Design magazines again joined together to produce Women in Design, a cross-platform program that acknowledges and honors 10 of the most influential women in the publications’ respective industries.

As part of the 2019 celebration, the editors hosted an awards luncheon on Oct. 4 in New York at the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge. Jennifer Silvis, editor-in-chief of Healthcare Design and Environments for Aging, presented awards to honorees Rosalyn Cama, president and principal interior designer, Cama Inc.; Abigail Clary, principal and director of health practice, Cannon Design; and Lorraine G. Hiatt, environmental gerontologist.
