The Environments for Aging Conference + Expo, held April 2-5 in Milwaukee, will feature a pre-conference workshop, “Dementia Care Workshop: Designing Dementia Capable Environments,” from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 2.
The two-part course will be presented by registered and licensed occupational therapist Sharon Host, a senior consultant and global professional instructor at Dementia Care Specialists (Milwaukee), and will start with an introduction to the stages of dementia and common aging changes. The second part of the course will focus on applying lessons learned in a design lab.
