The Walt Disney Company (Los Angeles) plans to introduce Storyliving by Disney, master-planned communities that will include senior living residences, according to an article in USA Today.

The first community, Cotino, is planned for Rancho Mirage, Calif., and will comprise about 1,900 units, including condominiums, single-family homes, and estates, with a portion designated for residents 55+.

The project is expected to surround a 24-acre grand sustainable oasis. A voluntary club membership will offer access to a waterfront clubhouse, club-only beach area, and recreational water activities, as well as Disney programming, entertainment, and activities.

Cotino is being developed in collaboration with developer DMB Development (Scottsdale, Ariz.).
