Construction To Begin On Mosaic Apartments For LGBTQ+ Seniors In Oakland, Pennsylvania

The 62+ senior community will comprise 42 one-bedroom units and six two-bedroom units.

Senior services provider Presbyterian SeniorCare Network (Oakmont, Pa.) and housing developer Affirmative Investments (Boston) are set to begin construction on Mosaic Apartments, an affordable, LGBTQ+ community in Oakland, Pa.

The 62+ project is being developed on land donated by University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, the University of Pittsburgh and Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (Nashville, Tenn.), according to a news release.

The community will include one-bedroom units and six two-bedroom units, and will be pet-friendly with amenities including a dog-washing station, according to Pittwire.

It is scheduled to open in fall 2025.
