Cleveland Public Library (Cleveland) and nonprofit Northwest Neighborhoods CDC (formerly Detroit Shoreway Community Development Organization) are partnering on a $11.6 million project that will add a new library  branch in Cleveland’s Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood with a connected 55+ affordable senior living community, according to an article in cleveland.com.

The five-story, 51-unit Karam Senior Living will include a door to allow residents to access the library when it’s open, as well a community room, laundry facilities, on-site parking, and a wellness center.

The new two-story, 10,300-square-foot library will replace an existing branch at the same location; construction is scheduled to begin this summer.

The project team includes Robert P Madison International Inc. (architect; Cleveland) and Bialosky (architect; Cleveland).
