Chartwell Retirement Residences To Expand Footprint Across Ontario, Canada

Owner/operator Chartwell plans to acquire six senior and retirement communities with a total of 1,024 suites for $432 million in London, Waterloo, Dorchester, and Mississauga.

Owner/operator Chartwell Retirement Residences (Montreal) plans to grow its senior living portfolio across Ontario, Canada, with the $432 million acquisition of six communities, according to a news release.

The communities are located in the Ontario cities of London, Waterloo, Dorchester, and Mississauga, and house a total of 1,024 suites. They include Riverstone (London, Ontario, Canada) with 124 retirement suites and 135 senior apartments and townhomes; Richmond Woods (London) with 130 retirement suites and 112 senior apartments and townhomes; Longworth (London) with 126 retirement suites; Dorchester Terrace (Dorchester, should we add the Ontario, Canada here?) with 123 retirement suites and 29 townhomes in development and expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026; Westhill (Waterloo) with 117 retirement suites and 100 senior apartments; and Erinview (Mississauga should we add the Ontario, Canada here) with 57 retirement suites.
