Catholic Charities Breaks Ground On Affordable Senior Living Community In Brownsville, New York

The $143 million project will consist of 141 residential units, a 10,000-square-foot community center, and on-site supportive services.

Faith-based social services nonprofit Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens (Brooklyn, N.Y.) has started construction on the Gail P. Duke Senior Residence, an affordable senior living community in Brownsville, N.Y., according to a news release.

The $143 million project will consist of 141 residential units.

Additionally, the community will house a 10,000-square-foot community center on the ground floor and on-site supportive services provided by Catholic Charities.

Construction is expected to be completed in mid-2026.
