Benchmark Senior Living (Waltham, Mass.) celebrated a topping out ceremony for Benchmark at Alexandria in Alexandria, Va., according to the website thezebra.org.
The community will be part of West Alex, a mixed-use development that includes retail space, apartments, condominiums, office space, daycare, and a school.
The 10-story senior living project will include 89 assisted living units and 26 memory care units with a variety of floorplan options.
Residents will have access to a club room, multiple dining venues, wellness center, casual bistro, wine-tasting suite, penthouse-level café, and rooftop deck.
The community is expected to be completed in 2024.
The project team includes Davis Construction (construction; Rockville, Md.).
