Owner-operator Benchmark Senior Living (Waltham, Mass.) and developer National Development (Newton Lower Falls, Mass.) plan to begin construction this summer on Benchmark at East Islip, a new senior living community in East Islip, N.Y., according to a news release.
The project comprises 90 assisted living and memory care units, including 64 single- and double-occupancy assisted living units and 26 memory care apartments, for a total of 104 beds. Planned amenities include multiple dining venues, a theater, fitness center, salon, and landscaped outdoor spaces.
The interior design draws inspiration from East Islip Lanes, a bowling alley that previously occupied the site.
