Ambrose Apartments, a new housing complex providing permanent supportive housing for seniors, has been completed in Los Angeles.
The project is a joint venture between developer Domus Development (Dallas), permanent supportive housing provider Skid Row Housing Trust (Los Angeles), Affordable Housing CDC (Ladera Ranch, Calif.), and designer KFA Architects (Los Angeles).
The five-story community has 64 residential units, including 49 studios, 14 one-bedroom units, and one manager’s unit.
The units, which sit above a street-level parking garage, have full kitchens and bathrooms, heating and cooling systems, and large window with views of the surrounding neighborhood. Fully furnished units include a refrigerator, oven, bed, dresser, coffee table, dining table and chairs, sofa, and lamps.
Residents have access to a first-floor community room with a kitchen, second-floor outdoor courtyard with large planters and walking paths, lobby with lounge, multipurpose rooms, rooftop deck, and community garden.
