Georgia Communities Inc. (Atlanta) and Paladin Inc. (Lexington, Ky.) are planning a new 55+ independent living community in Greensboro, Ga., according to an article in The Oconee Enterprise.

Situated on 12 aces, the Cottages at Baynes Creek development will include 50 cottage-style homes featuring a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. Each unit will include front and rear patios, as well as appliances such as in-unit washers and dryers.

A community building will house an exercise room, business center, and wellness center, with health screenings provided in a partnership with Oconee Valley Healthcare (Greensboro, Ga.). Outdoor amenities will include a lighted walking path with benches, a pavilion, and community garden.

The project is expected to take 14 months to construct and is tentatively scheduled to open in early 2023.
