Nonprofit affordable senior housing provider 2Life Communities (Newton, Mass.) broke ground on Opus Newton, a middle-income senior living community in Newton, Mass.
The 174-unit project will be situated adjacent to 2Life’s Coleman House, an independent living community on the campus of Jewish Community Center Greater Boston, offering residents an intergenerational living experience.
The new senior living community will include a restaurant, café, art studio, classroom, and fitness spaces.
Construction is slated to be completed by summer 2025.
