2026 EFA Conference Announces Opening Keynote Speaker

Author and toy company founder Cas Holman will present “The Power of Play: How We Can Use Curiosity to Change the World” to kick off this year’s conference programming.

The 2026 Environments for Aging Conference + Expo announces that Cas Holman, author and toy company founder, will be the opening keynote speaker Cas Holman at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix.

Holman will present “The Power of Play: How We Can Use Curiosity to Change the World” to kick off this year’s conference programming.

She is the founder of Heroes Will Rise (Hope, R.I.), an independent toy company focusing on open-ended play and creativity through innovative design, and the author of Playful: How Play Shifts Our Thinking, Inspires Connection, and Sparks Creativity. Her career also includes formerly serving as an associate professor of industrial design at the Rhode Island School of Design. Through her workshops and presentations, Holman helps individuals and organizations shape their projects, enrich team dynamics, and energize or reimagine their processes.
