$15M Sennett Meadows Senior Apartments Completed In New York

The 55+ affordable community is designed to meet LEED and Energy Star Multifamily New Construction certifications.

Sennett Meadows Senior Apartments, a $15 million affordable senior housing development in Sennett, N.Y., has opened, according to the website governor.ny.gov.

Situated on a former vacant site, the community includes 60 residential units for 55+ residents, including 18 with supportive services for seniors and veterans with physical disabilities.

The project is a partnership between Sennett Senior Apartments LLC (Sennett, N.Y.), Genesis Housing Development Corp. (Rochester, N.Y.), and Cornerstone Property Managers (Rochester).

Amenity spaces include community gardens, a media room, and laundry facilities.

The community was constructed using green building practices and meets the criteria for the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) New Construction – Housing Program.

The project is seeking LEED and Energy Star Multifamily New Construction certifications.
